Due to memory dying on my old AXP 2500 Mobile I’m looking to buy the following to build a cheap rig that can overclock a bit but not essential(well initially) and can play the odd game plus run vista with ease.

Could a kind soul cast a glance and make any suggestions where improvements could be made for a similar price?

x1950 pro is better

8800 gts is best choice for you got 90 pounds more money to you

However, the 7900 gs are very good cards. I am pretty sure it will be a big step up from your old setup

20% maybe. If fanboyism is really gonna take over, though, I would suggest the £199 8800GTS if you can.

No.. no fanboyism. Never owned an ATI admittedly but either would be a step up from the 6800nu I currently have plus I do rate the arctic coolers. Think I'll give the HIS a try the 8800 is just too dear for what I need.
