hi

i have read the stickies and will reference those, but my first official watercooling kit comes tomorrow.

i decided to go with a 240 mm value kit from OCUK as a good starting point.

my rig is:

Coolermaster CM690III case. i have removed all the hard drives and cages and will remove one of the dvd drives as i don;t need two really.

i have a 256 m.2 PCI-e ssd drive now and a HP microserver which i'm building tonight to house my storage drives.

intel core i5 4690k
asrock extreme 6 z97 mobo
16 gig of 2400 mhz ram
blu ray drive.
i also have 4 akasa piranha 120 mm case fans which i could use in a push pull and i'll maybe have one at the back of the case for pulling in cool air. not to sure if they will make it too noisy??

i aim to put the rad in the front of the case where the drive bays used to be.

any good practice guides for my first attempt? what should i NOT do when putting it all together. i assume the OCUK kits come with everything i need :)

1 mtr should be enough, if not then you'll have to order some more.

My only advice that would be applicable is don't skip any of the steps. Make sure you leak test for a few hours with paper towel before powering the system on.

OK thanks. I am following the guides to the letter trust me. Don't want to balls it up. Excited though.

one quicky guys. i am back off holiday and building tonight hopefully, if not tomorrow.

i am mounting the 240 mm rad in the front of my cm690III case, should the fans go on the front to blow air onto the rad or inside and blow out? i aim to use a akasa piranha for the exhaust possibly at the top.

Usually the best thing to do is to mount the fans so they are pushing air through the radiator into the case.
