hey guys been posting quite a bit on here recently (sometimes accidentally double posting whoops) so just bare with me on my first ever build :D

am looking for advice/opinions on the best motherboard and graphics card available on the market these days with a budget of £300 (for mobo) and £250 (for graphics card).

also be nice to know ideal psu size (i'm thinking 650w) and some advice on good water cooling systems for the pcu? (using a i7 920) in a coolermaster HAF 932... what can i do with the cooling for the processor? i'm thinking a water cooler and heatsink? also do with some advice on cooling for the graphics card...

in addition to this i am also looking to add:
1xblu ray reader/writer
1xdvd rw
1xfan controller
1xsound card
4xfans (already on case) and perhaps an additional 120mm fan
1xtv/satellite tuner card

Im sure someone will be along to tell you which motherboard for I7 as im still in the 775 days haha

Id spend more on the graphics than the mobo though

The graphics card of choice will either have to be a 5870 if you stretch your budget a lil, or id go for say a 285 or the 5850

A 650W power supply will defiantly suffice, people round here will suggest the corsair im sure

For motherboard a gigabyte is just win win all round so maybe the GA- EX58 either the extreme or the UD5, you choose?

As for graphics if your going the nVidia route id highly reccomend either BFG or EVGA, more so for BFG :D

As for ATI i wouldnt know as i have never owned one but from whta i have read and seen and heard the 5870 is the bomb...apparently

yup defo been looking at a corsair hehe
whats a good graphics manufacturer? am going for an ATi Radeon perhaps asus or gigabyte?

A Radeon 5850 (if you can find one in stock) would be the best option - all the cards are based on the reference design at the moment, so brand wise, it does not really matter apart from the warranty period.
