Hello,

I've been researching a new build and finally settled on the following:

Case - Coolermaster HAF 912
CPU - i7 2600k
Mobo - Asus p8p67 Pro
RAM - Corsair 8GB (2x4GB) xms3 1600Mhz DDR3
PSU - Corsair 650W TX
Cooling - Arctic freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 cpu cooler
Fan - 1 extra red wing 120mm quiet fan

Mostly planning on using the system for video/graphics/audio editing plus the odd bit of 3d work. Does anyone spot any problems with this build or have any suggested improvements/changes?

Also, no idea what graphics card to get. I've heard that RAM and CPU are more important for the tasks I want to do. Don't really want to spend more than £100. Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance

A Nvidia GTS 450 should do the trick. If you want to spend a bit extra then an ATI 5770 can be had for a little under £100. You have chosen a really nice CPU, the Arctic Freezer is a good choice, but I would spend a little extra keeping that CPU cooler. Perhaps a ThermalTake Frio?

Planning to overclock? If not the Arctic would be fine imo.

Processor/RAM combination for what you want to do will be more than adequate also I think, however I'm not sure if there's better for the price so i'll leave that for the product knowledgable people of OC to tell you that :P

Much thanking

Wow, speedy replies indeed. Much appreciated everyone, your advice has been taken on board, and with the addition of a hard drive (out of nothing more than greed) I will get my order sent off and wait eagerly by the postbox.

Thanks once again
