Graphic card - not really sure which one to go with I play on a 40inch lcd tv at 1920 x 1080, these are the cards which I had my eyes on.

1, MSI ATI Radeon HD 6970 Lightning 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

2, MSI ATI Radeon HD 6950 OC Twin FrozR III Power Edition 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

3, Asus ATI Radeon HD 6970 DirectCU II 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

Which graphic card do you guys recommend (not only limited to these) and are there components I should change, max budget is £1400 thanks.

Does any of the programs you use take advantage of CUDA from Nvidia cards?

You can drop the PSU down to around 750w ~ if you plan on using 2 x ATI cards or around 850w if you did go with dual Nvidia like the 580.

£225 for a 1200W PSU, cough.

There are plenty of PSU's for half that price which will comfortably run your system.

Check the RAM will fit under the cooler:

the 2600k is only £10 more and will allow you to overclock with the z68 boards rumoured to have more overclocking ability.

If your going ATI, go for 6950 as you can unlock the shaders and flash the bios to the 6970 version. You can find out more about it here.

According to these tests the corsair A70 performed just as well and it's a lot cheaper. I don't know what the difference is in everyday life but it's something to think about if your trying to keep costs to a minimum.

Oh did not realise I linked the non k verison of the cpu thanks for pointing that out stupid mistake on my half. I plan to overclock the cpu so i believe the noctua will be able to keep the temps much lower also the rams i have chosen will fit under it.
