(New Build) Anything I Need To Know?

Well... thats it bought for a Saturday 30th delivery, bring it on!

CPU - QX6700
GFX - 8800 GTX 768MB
RAM - 2GB XMS2 Dominator PC2-6400C4
Motherboard - EVGA nForce 680
Hard Drive 1 - 74GB Raptor
Hard Drive 2 - 320GB Seagate
CPU Cooler - Tuniq Tower 120
Case - Antec 900 ultimate gaming case

Anythign i need to note? few things iv gatherd so far is:

1) thermal paste - thin layer over the top
2) ram to run dual channel so i put them in the same colour slots (checking the manual)
3) touch a radiator before the parts to earth static + ill use my antistatic band, oh and do it on my kitchen table which is on lamonate floor and not my bedroom carpet!

anythign else to note?

just take your time and work methodically though each step thinking it through.

ermm you got a psu ??? you havent listed one :eek:

also the ram will most likely default to 5-5-5-15 you will have to change it in bios

WHEN/HOW do i do that?

when: after i have everything running, installed windows an stuff, then i worry about changing the timings yeah?

how - noooo idea how to do that (yet

You can change the timings before you install Windows. Just go into the BIOS and find the RAM settings. Most, if not all will be set to "Auto" or "Default". To work out which ones you need to manually set ask in the Memory forum.

The mobo will come with all the data cables you need.

Don't worry too much about static - as long as you don't plan to moonwalk in your nylon slippers over the rug wearing a shell suit you will be fine. Just hold a radiator occassionally.
