just sorting out my new system

i7 bundle 920 4ghz
6 gb xms3
asus rampage 2
velociraptor x 2
pioneer blue ray

started booting up and cpu apache is having problems, its spinning cannot be read in the bios menu, as pc booting up it says "CPU FAN ERROR"

fan is still spinning so is it in a fail safe mode and will just work away regardless at full speed??

I have this also when using pwm fans, the ones im using are designed to run from 400-1200 rpm, on boot theyre likely running to slow for the motherboard sensors to pick them up, however once in windows they run as theyre supposed to. You can disable the cpu fan warning in bios to save you hitting a key to continue booting.

its funny though cause i plugged in the zalman 10nps extreme and it read that, it doesnt seem like the apache is running at full whack so i dont want to risk overheating cpu or anything, have you the apache fan also??

No mate, im using sharkoon silent eagle se's, 400-1200 rpm. Once in windows they run fine, theres no chance youll fry anything.:)
