Got the spec below ready in my basket, any changes recommended?
Thnking i may have gone overboard on the mobo/cpu/memory for what i use it for?

I have a question about the motherboard-gonna be running 2 sata hdd's (1 is OS drive), 2 dvd writers, and i want to make sure it will run my ide ata-133 hdd caddy which i use for my ide ata 133 drives-quite a few of these drives are pretty new-so i want to carry on using them-is this ok with the mobo selected??

I got a case, a few fans for the case, and a floppy drive

Also need to add a few things but unsure of them;-
A decent powerful enough power supply.
Got about £100 or so for graphics card, must have at least one dvi out for my plasma.
Any cables as i aint got any at all.

Thanks in advance

Mobo - I'd go for the DS3/DS4, and save yourself some money. The DQ6 doesn't add anything useful.

HD - spot on :)

CPU - Good, but if you want to save money and overclock the 4300 or the 6300 will do fine.

Memory - You might as well start with some 6400 memory like the Geil or OCZ, as for about the same money you a guaranteed 800MHz memory speed.

DVD - spot on :)

Mouse/Keyboard - look good.

OS - Good

CPU HSF - I would choose one of these:-

PSU - Corsair, Seasonic, Tagen, Enermax. Choose one of them and you can't go wrong.

Graphics card - 7600 GT, 7900 GS, x1950 Pro or 8800 GTS 320MB depending on how much you have left over. See my buyers guide for more info:-

Hope that helps

Have taken in the previous post and amended as is below, Few more questons though,
is the psu powerful enough?
will the chosen graphics card allow me to run my moniter, and a dvi cable to my plasma?
and with the changed mobo, am i DEFINATELY going to be able to run 2 sata drives, 2 dvd drives, AND an ata 133 hdd caddy for my old ide drives?????

thanks
M
