New build approx. £2000

Hi, thinking about a complete new build as I think I've reached the upgrade limit on my old system.
What do you think of this spec.

Intel Core I7 930
Asus P6X58D Premium MB
6GB Corsair Dominator 1600mhz ram - is 12GB worthwhile and stable?
Geforce 460 1gb x2 SLI - may be replaced with 1 or 2 485 if they are out by the time I order, must be nvidia as want to run 3d vision.
3D vision kit
Acer 24" 3D monitor
Corsair Obsidian 700D case
Corsair HX 1000W PSU
Noctua NH D-14 CPU cooler
Crucial C300 6GB/s 64GB SSD - boot drive
Crucial M225 128GB SSD - game drive (already have this)
Western Digital Caviar 1TB 6GB/s HDD - storage
Samsung 8x Blu Ray rom drive
Windows 7 x64 home
Loogitech Mx620 mouse
Microsoft Reclusa Keyboard

It may be 2 or 3 months until I order this, but that's the general idea at the moment.
 
Is it possible for you to spend more on the graphics? GTX460s are great cards but 3d vision really takes it out of a system and I'd be worried that they wouldn't have the juice. Could you stretch to 470s in SLI?
 
Don't see why you should get a 6gb/s HDD since they don't reach that kind of transfer rate. A normal WD caviar black with a 3gb/s interface should suffice.
 
To answer all the questions.

I would probably get the 920 over the 930 unless prices are very similar. For some reason the 920 wasn't there when I specced it up.

I am hoping the geforce 485 - or whatever they will call the full 2 chip version of the 460 - will be out by the time I get this, so would ideally get 1 of these, possibly upgrading to 2 in sli. From what I understand 2 460's in SLI outperform 1 480, so should manage single monitor 3d well.
If the 485 isn't out, I would possibly get 2 480's instead, but would rather get the new tech.

I agree the 6gb/s hdd probably isn't of much benefit, but I put it in as it's similarly priced to the alternatives I was looking at.
It may be better to get the normal version and save the 2nd 6gb port for a future device.
 
regarding memory, I'm a little out of touch as my last computer has lasted me a few years with the occasional upgrade.

previously, filling all the memory slots on a board was quite problematic, causing problems with running fast memory and with overclocking.
what's the situation like now with this?
Should I stick to 3x2gb sticks, or is it worth getting 6x2gb?

Is there much benefit to 12gb over 6gb today, or even in the next couple of years?

I intend to do some reasonable overclocking with this setup, nothing too extreme, will having 12gb memory make this more difficult?

its a gaming pc i take it? judging by the 3D monitor and graphics choice.

6GB is plenty. 4GB is almost standard now.

And from What i have read, having more memory sticks=less overclocking potential
