Hi guys,
New to the forum and would appreciate a little input into a new build any improvements or suggestions would be more than welcome.

Firstly I'll be using it for dvd conversion, general use, office applications power point etc and the odd game now and then nothing to major.
Oh and i would like to give overclocking a go.:)

Gigabyte GA_P35C_DS3R (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 & DDR3 Motherboard

Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.33GHz (1333FSB) - Retail

GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX22GB6400UDC)

Sapphire ATI Radeon X1950 Pro 512MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail

Antec Sonata III Piano Black Quiet Case - EarthWatts 500W PSU

Hitachi Deskstar 7K160 NCQ 160GB SATA-II 8MB Cache - OEM

Pioneer DVR-212D 18x18 DVD±RW Serial ATA Dual Layer ReWriter - (Black) OEM

Sony Floppy Drive - Black

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler (Socket LGA775)

Arctic Cooling Arctic Fan 12025L 120mm Fan - 3 Pin

Ok thats it total cost around £530, if possible i'd like to keep it as close as possible to that price.
My only concerns are, is the supplied power supply ok for the build and will the ram be compatible with the board.

Thanks:)

Welcome to the forums. That looks fine, the PSU is more than sufficient for the system as specified and the Ram is compatible. You probably won't need the floppy disk drive but for the additional spend there is no harm in it. :)

Thanks for the reply, now all i need to do is get the missus to part with the cash
and i can start shopping:D
