New build, broken memory?

Just put together a new i7 930 build with corsair ram but I'm having trouble with one module not being identified correctly. Windows sees all the memory but the manufacturer of one module is shown differently as well as the speed. Moving it to a different slot doesn't help (same module still shows incorrectly).

XMP is enabled in the bios and I've tried setting the voltage, timings and speed manually but it doesn't seem to help.

Is it rma time?

Thanks.

Is it all branded as corsair, or are the chips on the ram made by corsair.

I have low grade ram made from micron parts, presumably they buy parts from different firms when making the ram.

could this be the case with your ram?

3rd one is different manufacturer, says spectek where the top 2 say corsair
EDIT: just gone to specsavers and read what u wrote :p id RMA it there menna be matched sets, looks like its not being controlled by XMP where as the corsair ones are

I bought it last week from a Slovak PC shop (I live in Slovakia but originally from the UK and OC don't ship out here). The box was sealed, all 3 modules look identical (heatsinks, stickers, etc). I guess Corsair buy this ram from SpecTek and rewrite the spd info, except this one module got missed?

It seems to run ok if I set the all the values manually but I haven't had much of a chance to test - Memtest for 2 hours didn't show any errors.

Go ahead and return the modules either to your vendor or to us. If you want us to replace them, complete the form at the link below and it will give you shipping information to the point closest to you.

Is there an option of paying a deposit to have new modules shipped out to me so I'm not without my PC for a week or two?
