Hey guys,

I recently bought the parts for a new build last month, and have been having trouble with it which just involves a BSOD every time the computer is started with a cold boot.

I have been on google and from what I have read on various forums, mainly the crucial and sevenforums.com, it seems to be either the RAM that is faulty or the motherboard.

I have ran memtest a few times and left it for a few hours each time, the first time gave a few thousand errors and the second time it did not report any.

Unsure as to what to do at the moment.

Any advice on what the problem might be would be very helpful, I can attach the minidump files if needed

I'm sure some clever guy will be along shortly...

But first thing I would do is remove any overclock you have (if any) and try again.
Other than that, remove all your RAM and try memtest one stick at a time to see if you can locate a rogue!

So I ran memtest again, with just one stick at a time, I did this a few times, and memtest gave errors each time, even after restarting the test, so I think that it must be the RAM.

I didn't realise to test with only one stick at a time, why does this make a difference?
