Hi all,

I'm giving away my current computer to another family member, so i need a completely new build plus OS, monitor, mouse and keyboard. My budget would be around the £1500 mark.

I was thinking of the motherboard + i7 bundle, gigabyte gtx 970 and the NZXT Phantom 410 case, beyond that I'm unsure about which components to use and which manufacturer is the best.

Thanks for any advice you can offer

thanks for your reply,

I've never built a system from scratch before, but people tell me its easier than i think.

yes it mainly for gaming.

The first spec appeals to me the most, although I would perhaps prefer 16gb of ram, as i may run scientific models on it as well.

Is there anything you would add or change to make it easily upgradeable in the future?

I assume i also need power and HDMI cables.

how much would OC charge to build it, and is there any additional shipping cost to ship it to northern ireland?

Building a PC is easy, lots of videos you can watch like this one,

You dont need any other parts, cables come with the PSU, motherboard comes with data cables for the drives.

16GB of ram,

The first spec is ready for a 2nd GFX card, plug and play almost. Z97 is rumored to accept Broadwell CPUs plus you have that free upgrade within 3 years on the board.

Ask customer services how much it would cost to build but I think (not a guaranteed price) it is around £60.
