New build, but blank screen, please help

What I ordered:

Connected everything together, but when turned it on for the first time, it started up, then died down again (keeps doing that every time I turn off PSU from the back), then started up and stayed on, but no signal to the monitor. All fans working (Case, Graphics card, and CPU)

What I tried doing:

Made sure, the 24 pin and 8pin are connected (even tried 4 pin)
Taken Ram out (no beep, am I supposed to get it, like everyone says)
Tried 1 stick at a time (both)
Made sure graphics card is properly inserted int PCIe slot, made sure 2 PSU connecters (6pin each) are properly attached (although if the fans are working that shouldn't be the problem?)
Tried disconnecting all extra devices, but have to try that again, not sure if I got them all. Was getting tired by that time, so stopped experimenting.

One thing I think I've done wrong is when installing heatsink onto the mobo, first time it haven't fitted properly, so I lifted it up again (thermal paste included with Core 2 was spreaded), and put it back on. Then when the comp wasn't working I tried refitting it again. Is it essential that after applying thermal paste you don't keep lifting heatsink up from the motherboard? Whatever the case is, I'm going to buy some thermal paste and refit the CPU, then pull the mobo out of the case and try to turn it on with just PSU, ram and Graphics card.
Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.
 
Thank you for your suggestions, I'll try all of that when back from work, and I'll grap some thermal stuff and cleaning liquid on the way. I have a green light on my Mobo, if its on, does it mean its working, or could the light be on, but some other part of mobo be faulty? I tried with both my ram sticks as I mentioned, but I'll get a friend to grab his, so I will try it with different make/speed.

Havent seen any lights on the graphics card, will try to take it out, have a look, perhaps refitting it could solve it...

Can PSU still be faulty even if it powers up all the fans? and perhaps mobo (judging by the green light on it)

Is it possible to get BIOS withour RAM?

Do you mean the end that shows up from the back of the computer, where all the usb, lan ports are... If so I only have 2 DVI and 1 S-Video (I think its S-video) and nothing else
 
K, I've taken everything out and only powered up mobo with CPU, graphics card, with 1 stick of RAM, still nothing.

I checked the PSU on my other computer and it works, however because my other computer is so ancient and its an AMD, there is no chance to test CPU, ram, or graphics card, also it has an AGP graphics card, which I can't test on my new mobo. Will try and find a friend who has a newer comp.

So until then I'm kind of stuck what to do here.

Also attached the sound from my old case, and there are no beeps at all

Sounds to me that the motherboard is not getting the required power (most would beep when they get to BIOS or at errors).
Other things to check would be that the CMOS jumper is on and in the right place. (check the manual to find where it its) check the BIOS battery is definately there as well (never seen it not be). Also is your GFX card's 6pin connection coming from different rails - if you have a 2 molex to 1 6pin connection. The 2 molex should be on a different rail.

Contact OCuk about possibility of RMA for your motherboard would be my suggestion.

How can the mobo not get enough power, if its just graphics card and the mobo, the supply is 520W. Yes I checked the CMOS jumper, removed it to clear a couple of times (put it back on after), also removed the battery now, was advised to do that by the technicial from OCuk.
What you said about connection is very hard to understand for me, but what I have is, PCIe x6, to the graphics card, and I have 2 separate wires. They also have an additional x2 on one end of each, but that can't be used (from what I've read its for some graphics card that have 8 pin connecters)

Got a mate to bring his functional graphics card and ram, to test the mobo. If that doesn't work and the fact that CPU is rarely faulty, I'll be sending mobo back for testing.
 
K, sorted it out, I know you prob not as excited as I am, but its working and I'm really happy. But just for educational purposes, it was solved by simply taking the battery(cell, whatever u call it) out of the mobo for about an hour or so, and then putting it back in.
Now it comes up with:
"Reboot and select proper boot device... etc" which is more normal.
