New build but screen doesn't seem to register

Hey all, I bought this graphics card for my computer I got everything new and have plugged it all in it seems to run fine but its not registering on the monitor monitor just stays on stand by tried with another got same results I'm not sure if I have done something wrong here or? I have plugged in 2 plugs from the psu pci-e cables both have 6 pin holes with 2 pin hole attachments like on the side so I am using 8 on one and 6 on other if this makes sense?

Check different DVi cables/adaptors and ports, also check HDMI, if you can. make sure your power supply meets the recommended specifications and can supply the required amps on the 12v rail.

Check in another system.

If all fails, return as faulty.

I have the exact same problem with the 7950 i recieved today, let me know if you find a resolution.
