To be honest I think I screwed up and ordered the wrong ram (too fast)please have a look and see what you think.

System will not post, when it does I might be able to use windows for a while then I get a blue screen etc

Also the only way it will boot is if I remove one stick of ram!

SPEC
Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2 Dominator PC2-8500C5 TwinX (2x1GB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.67GHz (1066FSB)
Asus P5N32-E SLi nForce 680 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2
Raptor X 150 time 2
Asus 8800 GTX time 2
Enermax Liberty 620W PSU

If anyone has an experienced view please would you share it with me as this is doing my nut in.

Thanks

You gone into the BIOS and set the RAM timings and DDR voltage to what is specified for this ram? It will be on Corsairs website (CAS 5-5-5-15 Timings, 2.2-2.5v). You may have gone overboard with the RAM as you say, those babies run at 1000mhz+, your board is 800mhz.

I have already put that ram on ebay and ordered Corsair 4GB DDR2 XMS2 Dominator DHX PC2-6400C5 TwinX (2x2GB) memory, possibly the worst and most costly mistake I have made :(

thanks for the advice!

Inquisitor not sure what I have done wrong in breaking rules but sorry for that I simply wanted some advice!!!

I'm not sure what all 3 are, but 1. You cannot mention that auction site and 2. Your sig is too large.

I'd like to know what the third is thou, so I don't do it aswell :)

When you say you flogged your RAM, you mean you never got the opportunity to change the timings and DDR voltage? Or did you try that?
