Computer mainly for internet use and gaming on 17 inch screen
Wont be overclocking till the end of 2008

Questions
1) Which GPU should I get for the system? about £200 budget
2) Is there a better component, than the ones that I picked.
i.e the Motherboard and Ram... be better off with XXX
3) Is there anything else that I am missing on the list? (just the unit parts)
i.e thermal paste, more fans, cables
4) Do all the components go together? heatsink too big for the case etc.

Pick a massive Heatsink soo i can run the fan slower, soo low noise
Anything else you want to tell me? (New CPU GPU coming out very soon)

the seagate 7200.10s 250GBs are apparantly faster then the WD drives
a corsair HX520 is enough to run the PC
get the giel ULL ram in TWO. ballastixs are high performing but die too easily, you will spend you life RMAing them.
an 8800GT should be more than enough for a 17" monitor.

Why no overclocking until end of 2008?

anyway, as above get 2 kits of Geil ULL (£56 for 4Gb for 4-4-4-12 PC6400 DDR2!) and the cheapest 512Mb 8800GT unless you want the 10% extra performance of a 512Mb g92 8800GTS. Get 2x2Gb instead if you think you'll want to go to 8Gb at some point although the timings will be slightly worse than 4x1Gb.

Consider getting the Abit IP35 Pro mobo instead, it is an favourite on here but the gigabyte boards are good too. Get some Arctic silver 5 too. The Thermalright 120 + fan is huge so check it fits the mobo and case before you buy. It is the best you can get but quite pricey, you could get a tuniq tower and save a bit of money. The Thermalright may need to be lapped to get decent performance which you may not want to bother with. Any reason for the two hard drives? If RAID 0 fine, if not maybe get a single 500Gb unit and save some money and power. You can always create two 250Gb partitions.

New 45nm penryn CPUs are out in a few months but will have a price premium over the Q6600 so don't be put off. Q6600 is a fantastic chip and amazing value considering how overclockable it is. However, the new 9800 series nvidia cards are due in a couple of months and will offer significant speed increases althought they will be expensive. You could get the 8800GT and upgrade later though, especially as you are only gaming at 1280x1024 res.

About £900

Final spec does all the components go together? (Case big enough for GPU, GPU can fit in the MOBO)
Is there a better card I should look at?

I would change the Thermalright cooler to a Tuniq Tower 120. I'm not 100% sure on the case it will fit the GFX card bit it is a pretty big case so I'm quite certain the CPU cooler will fit. Everything else looks great :).
