After weeks of deliberation (i swear its getting harder to put a good spec together!) i have come up with the below spec for an upgrade.

Only thing im not sure about is the cooling the mistake i made with my last build was the copius amounts of non silent fans. The stock cooler for my amd 6000+ was/is stupidly loud.
 
Do you have any particular need for the 1kw PSU, DDR3 or X48 (particularly as you can't use it to SLi the graphics cards)? It is all compatible as far as I know but you are spending rather over the odds for little to no extra performance.
 
good point about the psu, i only went for it as i was after a cosair modular psu and didnt think the 620w would have enough power. isnt the 280 two cards strapped together?
