Thinking of making a new computer and was wondering if these parts all go together well?

Are there any parts that you might think are better?

Its mainly for gaming but have a use for the 16GB of RAM.

Looks good but a few pointers:

1) The 970 is having issues with 3.5GB RAM. I'd recommend a GTX980 or a AMD 290p/290x
2) The BX100 is slow, look at the Intel, Samsung or the Crucial MX100

Other than that, looks good :)
 
Problem with that card is that its to big for the case i picked. Needs to be nearly flat with the plate.

Not sure whether togo with the 980 or the 290x, would the 8192MB be a lot better than the Nvidia cards?

haha, if only they'd told everyone that when they were release. That's not how they were designed but how they operate.

I would drop it and avoid potential issues, you cannot guarantee you'll never use the last .5GB.

IMO I would go for the nvidia. I just think you get more power for your money at the moment. At least until the next AMD series come out.
 
Id prefer two smaller hdd, as its more data to lose when it inevitably dies.
If I had a monitor over 24" id look for more vram.
