Hello OcUK

I have chosen the components for my new build. I just wanted to check with you guys to make sure I'm not making any mistakes. The system will be used for general stuff (web, music, videos), programming, pen testing and maybe some gaming.

I already have a WD Caviar Blue 500GB HDD and Windows 7.

Here is the rest of the system:

Intel i5-2500k - £167.40
BitFenix Shinobi Black Mid Tower Case - £46.61
Antec TruePower New 650W Modular PSU - £59.99
XFX HD 6870 Dual Fan 1GB - £147.58
Gigabyte Z68AP-D3 Motherboard - £76.99
BenQ G2222HDL 21.5" Monitor - £101.39
Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB (2x4GB) 1600MHz - £29.99
Samsung WriteMaster SH-S222AB DVDRW SATA - £13.50
Logitech G400 3600DPI Gaming Mouse - £23.99
Logitech Media Keyboard 600 - £11.97

Total - £680

I'm not sure about the keyboard. If you know any around the same price please tell me.

Also, is everything compatible? Have I made any mistakes? If you have any questions, please ask.

Thanks

your MB price has change it cost £84.98 unless I was looking at wrong board, also looks like the PSU price gone up to £72.98, a part from that it looks ok to me

^^ Good upgrade? Understatement of the year! Your new system will fly along at warp factor HOLY COW! You will be yelling at it to slow down lmao!

Seriously though enjoy your new system and don't forget some piccy's :D

Stoner81.

I thought about an SSD but I can't get it ATM. My budget was £600 initially. But as Stoner81 said speed won't be a big issue now :) Maybe I can get one later.

I'll try to take some pictures.
