New Build - CPU Testing

Good morning,

I recently built a new system with an i5-3570K and Xigmatek Archilles II Cooler.

As it was the first time I have installed a CPU, cooler and applied thermal paste, I would like to conduct some stress testing to check that the temperatures are within the normal operating tolerances etc.

Can anyone recommend any testing software or other method that would confirm that I carried out the installation correctly?

Thanks

as above Prime95, get the new one with avx
or Intel Burn Test.
then use realtemp and/or coretemp for temps

+1 to Prime95 and Coretemp. IBT is good for quickly doing an initial test, but when settling on a 24/7 overclock I would use Prime95 for about 8 hours on both blend and small FFTs to be sure.

I used Prime95 and Realtemps to peform 8 hour tests on the small FFT, large FFT and blend settings. The maximum temperature logged in the tests was 60c.

A quick bit of research shows that this is a safe temperature; however, is this temperature what would be expected from my processor and cooler? Or would you expect lower temperatures from an aftermarket cooler?
