New build... critique?

Hi guys, can you please look at my potential new build, and tell me wether it is ok/compatabile ?

Intel Core i7-2600 3.40GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail

Gigabyte P67A-UD4 Intel P67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard - (Sandybridge)

Corsair Dominator GT 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-16000C8 2000MHz Triple Channel Kit

ATI 2GB HD4850 (Already owned)

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2 CPU Cooler

Coolermaster CM-690 II Lite Dominator Case

Corsair 650w (Already owned)

1TB Seagate SATA (Already owned)
 
Arn't the sandybridge motherboards defected or has this been fixed? I heard yesterday that there was a problem with the motherboards that caused the mobo to effectively die within a couple of years.
 
Yeah would hold off buying a SB build at the moment until we hear more official press releases from Intel about possible recalls.

PS regarding your build,

You need dual channel RAM not triple like GeIL 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz VALUE PLUS Dual Channel

Why i7 2600 and not the i5 2500K which will allow you to overclock (but has no hyperthreading)

Again with the motherboard, can go for a cheaper one if you don't plan on going SLI. Also if your not overclocking you can get a H67 board and not P67 board.

Good case for the money.

No problem. If and when SB issues are sorted then something along the lines of this (if your not ever planning on dual graphics card setup and assuming you'll want to overclock)
