Want to build a new pc got a new case will use my exsisting 1000 W psu R9 290x gaming card Now i’m stuck decided i’m going down the Intel route , so priced up everything I need ; MOBO= Asus Maximus xi Formula CPU Intel i7 7700k Samsung 960 evo M.2 drive NZXT kraken x62 cooler 32 Gb corsair 3200 ram , all looked good .
THEN !! I started reading reviews on Ryzen so then decided to go down the AMD route with mobo=Asus Crosshair vi Hero CPU = Ryzen 7 1800x Samsung evo m.2 drive kraken x62 cooler 32 Gb Corsair ram , bit more expensive , I,m going for it .
BUT !! now just seen a review about Intel OPTANE which learns and turbo boosts ssd’s and hdd’s , so if I get one of these then I will need an intel mobo to run it in a m.2 slot aswell as the Samsung m.2 drive so now I am stuck which way do I go???? . can anyone point me in the right direction ?.
This will be a retirement present to me from me , never going to be in this position again so if you had to decide which way would you go ? so any advise you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
