I have just finished a new PC build, with all new components but when turning it on, if the PC has the graphics card in, it would not start up. However when taking the graphics card out, it works perfectly (I am typing this from the new build).
When turning it on with the graphics card in, everything is well connected to the PSU and motherboard. When the PC is turned on with the graphics card on, all fans work (graphics card, CPU and box) but there is no video signal neither by connecting the monitor to the motherboard, nor to the graphics card (the monitor is connected with a HDMI cable).
The only thing I have not done and cannot do is test if the pci-e port I am connecting the graphics card into is faulty. The motherboard has 2 pci-e ports but because of their location, the SATA ports' location and the size of the graphics card, I can only plug the graphics card into one of them (the graphics card is so thick it would not allow me to plug any SATA port in if placed on the other pci-e port).
System build:
NZXT Phantom 530
Intel G3528
GygaByte Z97P-D3
G.Skill Ripjaw 1600 MHZ 8GB
Crucial BX 250GB
Corsair CX 600M
MSI R9 285 2GB
Any ideas about what is going on and how to solve it?
Thanks
