Built a new PC using a couple of donated parts from my brother (CPU / Mobo) which were working fine before he upgraded and everything else was new.

CPU is a 2500K
Motherboard is a GA-Z67XP-UD4
Using onboard graphics.

When turning it on the CPU fan comes on and the phase LED's do as well but then nothing else happens.

Any ideas?

Checked all the cables and seem to be ok. Tried without ram, with 1 stick, different slots etc.

Motherboard only has an HDMI output and was going to go with onboard.

What do you mean by digital drivers?

I've taken out the battery too but nothing happened.

Tried resetting but doesn't do anything either. Going to take the battery out again for a while and come back to it later. :(

PSU is a Seasonic G Series 550W Gold Series.

Power cables are plugged in near the CPU and the 24 pin directly into the motherboard. A third cable is going to my SSD via Sata and then left all the others out as not using a dedicated GPU at the moment.

Although not ideal I'm guessing but would a 350W PSU be enough to power a 2500K, Z68 Motherboard, SSD and 8GB Ram?

Can use the PSU in my old computer to test but obviously don't want to underpower it and cause problems.

Ah sorry. It is the ZA-Z68XP-UD4.

It has onboard HDMI, the 2500K has built in GPU/Graphics does it not?

CPU was reseated and thermal paste reapplied.

Had a look and nothing looks bent but with so many pins I'm not sure how obvious it would be if any were.

Connected to a monitor. Have a few things I can try this evening now then.

Try my second monitor,
Use PSU from my current PC,
Install GPU from current PC,

Cry :D

Managed to get it to boot into BIOS now using the GPU from my current PC. No time this evening to install windows and set it all up so going to leave it until over the weekend now but fingers crossed it looks like it should work.

Thanks for the help everyone, will update the thread once I've sorted it. :)
