New build, error message on start up

Freshly built

Asus p5b delux mobo, intel dual core 6600, tegan 600w psu. gforce 8800 g card.

First time pushing the power button & get the following error message

Usb device overcurrent status detected. shutdown in 15seconds..

Anyidea where the fault may lie ?

Other than this start up is perfect, no beeps )

Perfect ! downloaded the bios flash & yes i did put a floppy in !

Not yet.

Am on standby for a flight to mainland shetland if the wind dies away enough so had to take a time out so that im ready to run as i'll just get a call if the plane takes off from shetland , so gota be ready to run, will do it when i get back from lerwick in a few days

Pilot ! I wish.. I run a B&B on Fair Isle..

Anyhooo..... IT didnt work !

after using disc to flash the MoBo ,it auto rebooted & now I get a message saying overclocking failed, enter system to restore settings.. It wont let me enter system cos it shuts off every 15 secs now.

Also get a message relating to usb problems still.

fast shut offs are normallty a sign of overheating and system turning off to be safe.

hows the heatsink is on tight ?

Heatsink is fine, all 5 fans are running good.

Getting a bad checksum message, enter set up to restore settings, i hold down del during post & nothing happens. it just carrys on past the enter set up screen.
