New build feels slow!?

Just upgraded to:

Q6600
P5Q-E
1gb GTX280
2x2gb G.Skill 1066

Managed to get 3.4ghz reasonably stable.

Can get it to post at 3.8ghz, but wont load windows.

Problem is the system feels and reacts slowly when it shouldn't.

Any ideas/suggestions?

Yeah newest beta nvidia drivers, newest sound card, motherboard etc etc, fresh install. No anti virus or firewall.

Try the proper drivers, not the beta

Nothing abnormal, first thing i do is check processes to see if anything is eating too much cpu time.

I think i may have found the problem, i have Dual Channel memory working as single channel, things feel faster now.

Have you put your memory sticks in the right slots , you are running in single - not double data rate.
