My own head
Hello all. Finally got my rig up and running this evening, but I am sitting here puzzled about a few things.

My crossfire 4890's are giving some weird clocks in ATI overdrive

In the ATI overdrive section the clock is showing:

GPU Clock: 850Mhz
Memory Clock 975Mhz

Current Values

GPU Clock: 240Mhz
Memory Clock: 975Mhz

Now the current one I understand, this is the 2d values right? When it is not in use?

But what's the deal with the first ones? My memory is meant to be 3900Mhz I thought? Overclockable to 4600 as advertised.

On top of this my Ram is showing:

DRAM Frequency: 534.6Mhz
FSB: DRAM: 2:8
CAS latency 7
Ras to Cas delay 7
Ras precharge 7
Cycle time 20

1T

Is this correct?

its GDDR5 so its 4 times the cloc speed do not worry 975x4=3900 so its all good:D

but i wil be immensley interested on the performance of those 4890s in CF, and when u get round to overclocking them aswell:D

At the moment "****" is my definition. I'm getting slowdown in Crysis at 1920x1200 @ All very high. Was expecting it to run smooth... not sure what's up with it.

Also can anyone give me a quick overview of overclocking my cpu to 3.4Ghz? It is 50C under load, so i believe i have some headroom

Memory speeds are always quoted a single data rate - your system ram is DDR3 so it runs at 3 x quoted speed, ie: 3 x 534.6MHz = 1603.8MHz... Bang on for your RAM.

The graphics card is the same principal - but running GDDR5 it'll be 4x the quoted speed. So the speed your CCC Overdrive is showing appears to be wrong to me. Have you tried using GPU-Z to check the actual speeds when at idle and under load?

edit: d'oh - beaten to it

Same for both cards as selected from the bottom, is it all ok?
