So I've placed an order for pretty much everything, but have a coupfe of things to clarify.
I've gone for:
Asus Rampage II Extreme Intel X58
Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping
Corsair Dominator 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8
Asus ATI Radeon HD 5870 1024MB
For the important parts and then this for the W/C kit:
Swiftech Apogee GTZ SE
Swiftech Laing D5 Vario MCP655
XSPC RX360 120mm Radiator
EK Asus Mosfet X58 Kit
EK Multioption Reservoir 250 Rev.2
Scythe Kaze Jyuni 1900RPM Slip Stream 120mm Fan (x3 for the rad)
And the 1/2" compression fittings for it all.
First question is I would like to add the 5870 to the water loop when the blocks are available, but would that impact the temperature of the CPU too much to make it worthwhile? Or is the setup ok to cope with that?
Second main question is about the liquid to use in it. I've seen the PrimoChill ICE Non-Conductive Coolant which seems like a good idea. Any suggestion as to how many bottles I'll need for this system, or even a rough guess?
Any help appreciated basically. I've watercooled before (still), running a Cathar Storm block, JPI XLR120 + Scoop etc etc which has worked fine for the last 5 years I bet now. But decided it was time for a change.
