Hi guys,

I've just a few bits to put in the new machine before I switch on for the first time. Before I do that, is there any good practice tips you can offer me?

I'm confident that everything is properly connected etc. but there is always the element of doubt (especially as this is the first one I've built).

Any help as always is greatly appriciated.

yes mate... prey! lol

good luck with it and keep the side of case off to ensure the fans are all spinning up properly so as to avoid any overheating if there are issues.

Good tip. Anything I need to know if it doesn't boot first time?

I know I need to make sure the boot sequence sees the DVD drive boot first as neither my SSD or HDD has Windows installed?

I'm guessing that because of the above it won't go any further than BIOS options as if I were in the options in the process of a full reformat/reinstall of Windows?

Er, no. If you have any probs, then post back here and we'll sort it out for you. :)

Yes, the computer will stop after the BIOS has completed. Again, if you have any probs let us know.

Check everything's plugged in properly before you come back here and ask and look like a FOOL :D

Good luck though :)
