Hi all,

so I have been tasked by my colleague to figure out a build (just the tower) for <£800 that is better than the below specs (not sure if allowed to post but hey):

Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-4790 processor (8MB Cache, up to 4.0GHz)
•Windows® 8.1
•2 TB SATA III Hard Drive (7200RPM)
•Hard Drive: 256 GB Solid State Mini Card
•32 GB Memory (4x8GB) 1600MHz DDR3 Quad Channel
•2 GB AMD Radeon HD R9 270 GDDR5
•Back Up Media Not Included
•Windows® 8.1 (64 Bit) English
•12X Blu-ray Disc Combo (DVD+/-RW + BD-ROM)
•Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 + Bluetooth 4.0

I was hoping some of you savvy folks may be able to share some wisdom. Just a few pieces of information / request on le colleague. His main focus of this system is to be able to carry out his FX trading work. So he runs multiple platforms across 4x VGA (I think, need to get confirmation) monitors. So he needs a fair bit of performance across several screens without any slowing down. He doesn't need OS, kinda forgot the other things he requested haha.

He is not particularly tech savvy so would be great to see pre-built configs and standard ones (in the event I have time to build it for him).

I may have forgotten some pieces of relevant information but will try to fill in the gaps as best I can.

So fire away!

Cheers.

He told me he is using 2x DVI-I Analog to 2x VGA Video Splitter Cable. Is there anything specific I should be asking him for?

I've asked him what other inputs they have and this is his response >.<.

His text reply: I have 4 old monitors which only have VGA input. I use two x dvi to double vga splitters.

Ah right, no. He is using an adapter not a splitter in that case. From what he has told me he is using 4 monitors which he views different things on. He connects all 4 vga inputs into 2x dvi adapters which then go into 2 separate cards currently. Ideally he would want to use the same adapters but into 1 card.

Hope I am being clear heh, haven't seen his setup myself and trying to go back and forth with him through email and text. So yeah, 4 monitors all viewing different things acting like one whole.
