Is this good for a budget of £1k? It's mainly for gaming, and a bit of multi-tasking. Gonna OC the CPU, hence the freezer 64, what sorta speed should he get from an OC Opy 170 on this MSI board?

Looks good, although personally I'd be tempted to go for an Asus A8N-SLi SE. I reckon it'll be better for overclocking than the MSI.

I don't see why you would want an SLI board with the X1900XT. I would swap it for an Ultra-D or Asus Crossfire board

(though for the mobo, you could get the MSI RD480 Neo2 Crossfire (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard)
