Hi All.
This is not for myself as I am Very Happy with my home build a few years ago.
For a friend who does Photography same as myself. NO games. PHOTOGRAPHY only...Might be overkill this, so Ideas from you will be Appreciated.

What I have down so far......
Gigabyte Z170xp-SLI Intel core i5 6600K Bundle £309
Avexir Cire Blue 16GB (2x8) DDR4 PC4-19200C16 2400MHZ Dual Ch kit = £69
Alpenfohn Matterhorn Black CPU Cooler = £35
Samsung 250GB 850 EVO SSD = £59
Samsung SH-224FB/BEBE DVDr Drive = £15
Golden Green Hx 650 80+ PSU £71.99
total £558.99 I think.

Anything Better than above. Motherboard must have at least 7 x SATA..
Not go go above £800 but LESS is BEST.

Maybe a Graphics card like an NVIDIA 750

A good looking Tower that does not go over £60. Less is Better.

Many Thanks.....

Hi,

You wont need a 650W PSU for that spec combined with a 750ti, 450-550W will be more than enough.

Have a look at the Fractal Define S for a case, it doesnt have any optical drive bays, so if he really wanted a optical drive he could always opt for an external USB one.

Thanks stulid----He wants an optical drive in the tower. No space to have an External hanging around...550W with 5xSATA would be enough for him I reckon. I'll ask him..

So you reckon the above is a Good Speck..?

I used ALL 7 SATA on mine.

Thanks stulid..I'll send him the link to the Tower and he can make up his mind on it..

How about this:

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £655.86
(includes shipping: £0.00)

The Motherboard has 6 x SATA ports and 1 x SATA-E port.

Thanks lee32uk--Appreciated..
He wants a Gigabyte mobo. I also like them.
He going to look for a Better Tower that looks nice...Any recommendations, but not too pricey please. Something a little better than my Zalman 9 (of which I love).
He would like Overclockers to build it for him if possible. For some reason he don't want me to build it. I have successfully built 5 so far. Up to him anyway.,He's paying not me. lol..I'll order in my name so we get free postage. i pay, he pays me. :) Thanks

Compatible memory for above Mobo 2x8GB Ram = 16Gb.

Which is the best one for this Mobo Please at about £90:00p

Thanks. The rest of what I got is OK. Going for the 650W PSU instead of 550W.

Thanks All

Thanks mickyflinn---
Case must have space for optical drive. Going to let him choose on this one, which I think would be best..

Just need to be sure that I have chosen the correct RAM. So any ideas on the 16GB RAM for this mobo would be great. I can then order from Overclockers and build it for him.

The Ram you chose will be fine, but if you want to make sure you have total compatability with the motherboard then you need to look on the Gigabyte website.

I beginning to think this might be better. But need advice. RAM is not my best subject I'm afraid.
Fury Black 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-21300C15 2666MHz Dual Channel Kit - Black (HX426C15FBK2/16 @ £89.99p

Sorry to be a Huge Pain in your backsides. I just need to be as near 100% correct before I order...Been reading more about the above Motherboard and there be so many NEW things on board it that I'm getting a bit scared of it..LOL

Is there another Gigabyte board just below this one that works Good and will take the other components. If not I'll do a bit more reading..THANKS.

The last bundle I looked at was priced at £669.85p
Then later in day it is £673.81p
Today it is £757
What the hell is going on with the prices.??

Anyone with any info as to which Motherboard is now running STABLE!
I will not be OCing. Reading lots of bad reports on the mobo I have mentioned. Has Gigabyte ironed them out. ?

Confused for first time in years. LOL

No answers..OK...

I now going to persude him to buy Pre-Build from OCUK instead. My reason,--I don't understand the BIOS in the Gigabyte mobo I mentioned so not going to build it myself as I don't want to mess anything up...
Cheers Lads n Lasses.

I am running skylake at the moment with a GIGABYTE Z170X Gaming 7 Motherboard and an Intel core i5 6600K, it is running great with windows 7 no issues to report so far and have been running it a month.

I have also got HyperX Fury Black DDR4 8GB installed as well.

My last system was under warranty and quite a few issues so overclockers changed everything apart from the cooler and now I am running skylake a pretty good upgrade and many thanks to overclockers for fixing everything out.

Thanks themul----I phoned up Overclockers for my friend at his house, and went through a build with them and he then ordered on the site.----OcUk Kinetic Z1 Intel Z170 configurable Skylake
i5 6600K, MSI Z170, etc with a few updates....Only thing he did against me saying NO was that he ordered Win10 Pro instead of buying Win7 Pro then updating to Win 10. He already got the win7 so in my view he wasted about £100. but it was his choice.
