What your friends budget, socket 775 offer no future upgrade possibilities.

Also you have a socket 775 cpu with a socket 1155 board.

Whoops, I do indeed. Forgot to swap out when downgrading. Changing to Gigabyte G41MT-S2P Intel G41.

Budget is 350euro with shipping.
He wants it for MMOs.

if ive done my maths correctly this should come in only slightly over budget, and be a huge amount better than what you've selected:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Pentium G620 2.60GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail £53.99
1 x OcUK GeForce 9800 GT 512MB GDDR3 PCI-Express Graphics Card - OEM £47.99
1 x MSI H61M-P23 Intel H61 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard **B3 REVISION** £44.99
1 x Lepa W-Series 450W '80 Plus' Power Supply £41.59
1 x Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB SATA 6Gb/s 16MB Cache - OEM (WD5000AAKX) £29.99
1 x Cooler Master Elite 330 Midi Tower Case - Black £29.99
1 x Kingston HyperX Blu 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (KHX1600C9AD3B1K2/4G) £23.99
1 x Samsung SH-S222AL/BEBE 22x DVD±RW SATA Lightscribe ReWriter (Black) - OEM £16.99
1 x TP-Link 150Mbps Wireless PCI Express Adapter (TL-WN781ND) £9.98
Total : £313.60 (includes shipping : £11.75).

processor and graphics card are WAY better than what you have chosen.

motherboard allows for an upgrade to an i3 2100, i5 2500 or i7 2600 (no overclocking though)

PSU wont blow up in 5 seconds

only thing slightly worse is the network adapter, which i chose because the OcUK value 300Mb/s wireless one was a PCI card, which this motherboard doesnt have

Really? Just by comparing stats it doesn't seem so but enlighten me please.

PSU wont blow up in 5 seconds

OcUK PSUs a no-go?

only thing slightly worse is the network adapter, which i chose because the OcUK value 300Mb/s wireless one was a PCI card, which this motherboard doesnt have

Is that an issue? The mobo has spare PCI-E slots that it could use.

Thanks all so far!
