Want to build a new system for bad company 2, haven't done anything for a while now so a bit behind, but been digging around and thinking of going with this

MSI 770-C45
AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 955 Black Edition retail
Powercolor 5850
Patrtiot G Series Sector 5 4GB PC3-10666
Antec Trupower New 650W Modular PSU
CoolerMaster Elite 355

All comes in at around £560.

Don't need any hdd or optical drives, os or monitor, as I have them all already. Also not interested in running dual cards so don't need a crossfire board, also have a x-fi xtreme music to go in, so not too bothered about decent onboard sound.

So just looking for opinions really, any changes?, good as it is for bad company 2? missing anything I need? (long time since I built a pc), any incompatibilities? Also £560 is pretty much my limit, so any changes would have to be for a similar priced item.

Thanks

looks like a pretty good build to me, are you sure you dont want a sli board? almost sounds criminal not to get one :-P

He has an ATI graphics card, SLI is for NVIDIA cards. He could get a board with SLI if he later wants to switch to double NVIDIA cards but I don't think he's gonna do that so no.

Maybe switch to a Corsair PSU? They are quality. Though I can't say much about the Antec PSU's as I have not much experience with them.

I know the intel chipsets do both SLI and x-fire, but that does not help you!
Getting a board with x-fire support will future proof you a bit more IF you want the option.
Personally I used SLI way back when it first came out and it was not really worth it. I know these days 2x5870 board beat the 5890, but do you really need that? And drivers have a habit of being buggy or having to wait when new games come out for them to be updated to support 2 cards.

Personally I prefer to run 1 powerful card. Much easier to power, to swap, and less buggy. But thats my preference.
