Hey guys,

So my dear mother's old laptop has finally died on her and she is going to buy a new one or a desktop from Dell.

I would like to build her a cheap desktop and wanted to know if you guys could recommend a build for her?.

She only uses a PC for facebook games, Ebay, Email and other web browsing.
Looking for CPU/Mobo with intergrated graphics as she don't play real games lol.

She has about £350-£400 to spend guys so can you recommed a build for me? would also need a cheap small monitor and mouse and keyboard.

Any advice would great :)

Thanks guys

You should be able to find AMD llano or trinity laptops for around £400 if she prefers having a laptop. It's IGP is very good and capable of playing more demanding games.

If you need an OS aswell it's going to hinder a desktop build at that budget.I'm sure people will have a stab at it though :)

Thanks for the reply, She has room for a Desktop so thats not an issue. I would rather see if i could build her something if possible in budget.

Someone will complain I should use faster RAM to help the IGP but I'm trying to stick to the budget best I can here. The A75 chipset is a must to get HDMI output to the TV.

Of course there are other options. I figured a 1TB drive would be nice to store movies on, a small SSD would be another option. It's a custom build so have fun with it :)
