So my dad is always shouting and screaming at his current Pentium 4 2.70ghz, 512mb ram, ancient cluttered 5400rpm hdd about being unresponsive and extremely slow... ...So I've decided to build him a new PC before he has a heart attack from stress.
He doesn't need a powerhouse. Just something for browsing the internet, watching videos, creating documents, basic stuff really. No gaming at all.
Always complaining about programs opening slowly so if I get an SSD that should shut him up
Only need the components displayed in the image.
I've checked his current C: drive and he is only using 45gb so no need for a 2tb drive lol
I have an old 8600gs card that I will use.
Won't be overclocking. Stock speeds should be more than enough
No need for an operating system.
My budget is too be almost as cheap as possible (with an SSD) . Just something nippy for basic tasks... cheaper the better (obviously?).
Any advice would be most appreciated. Thank you
