Hi, Can someone spec me a PC that will be able to run Skyrim on high settings. im not interested in getting 150FPS just as long as its playable.

Budget - as low as possible, this is the only game I will really be playing on it, I already have an OS, keyboard, mouse, monitor so just need the tower.

Cheers

Can't do a real spec as im on my phone but I know (from watching videos) that the A10 5800k will run Skyrim on high settings. Pair it with some 2133Mhz RAM. Over locking it will also help your Hunt for FPS.

Need some kinda goal posts in the budget to be aiming for, do you want SSD,Wifi or anything along them lines? Any bits you can reuse?

is an SSD much of a benfit when playing games?

I use a laptop at the moment so wont be able to reuse anything.

As for extras such as wifi, no dont need anything like that really, just 'no frills' gaming pc.

Happy to overclock as well

Cheers

Just faster loading times for your games which aren't really that long any way for Skyrim, just up to you whether you think it's worth the extra cash or not.

I played it fine on.
amd x6 1055t @ stock
8gb ram
GTX460 1gb (handled 1080p at about 30-50fps)
Upgrading to a 7850 got a pretty much a constant 60fps although heavily mod'ed that dropped to around 40 again but looks great and felt smooth enough for the type of game it is.

So grab a 7850 for your GPU it's prob a massive upgrade from what you have right now and you won't need a massively powerful cpu considering what I played it on
