Stick with Intel for the cpu.

The FX-9590 needs a lot of cooling power. The corsair H90 probably wouldn't be enough. You need a really beefy cooling solution such as a 240mm/280mm water cooler.

The i5 6600K will give you a much better overall experience for gaming. The Corsair H110i GT in my spec is a touch overkill. You could easily put a £30 air cooler (Alpenfohn Matterhorn Pure) in it's place. You could bump up to an i7 6700K if you do other things like video editing/rendering etc.

Samsung 850 EVO is a much better SSD than the Kingston V300. It gives you free delivery on your basket.

NZXT Noctis is a nice alternative to the Haf-X.

XFX R9 390 is £50 cheaper than the Sapphire Nitro.

You might as well go with Windows 10 unless there is some reason you want Win 7 ? DirectX 12 will only be supported by W10 AFAIK.

Does seem odd not to go for the Skylake i7-K that will perform better.

I'd avoid the V300 SSD. Crucial BX 480 or Samsung 850 EVO 500 (latter with free shipping) would be my choice.
 
oh I did not realise that windows 10 is the only one which will support DX 12, and I have already got a liteon dvd r/w from another machine, the hard drive is external, just need the ssd to put windows and internet security onto.

funnily enough, the 2 builds you both suggested, I looked at, made a list for AMD and Intel, and tbh the difference was around £150 for the i7 6700k, plus I must admit the noctis case does look smart thank you again

The NZXT Noctis doesn't have an optical drive bay so if you still wanted use of a dvd drive then you would need to buy an external one.

You won't need it to install Windows 10 as it is on a USB drive.

i know it sounds dumb, (thinking back to older systems) but would the new motherboards recognise a usb drive before the motherboard drivers are installed onto the os?
sorry as i say used to older systems that wont recognise them right away

You shouldn't have any issues if you use a usb 2.0 port. The Gigabyte Z170X-SLI has 2 rear ports, and you also have the internal one on the motherboard which will connect to the ports on the case. The NZXT Noctis has 2 x usb 2.0 ports on the top.
