Seems this week will be a good week to do the transfer from agp to pci-e as i like the look of the AMD Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego and Connect3D ATI Radeon X1800 XT on this weeks only deal, but i need help in finding a new heatsink/fan (as the cpu is OEM), PSU, memory and motherboard to go with them and decided to ask here :)
PS. i thought about going conroe but can't make a build that has the things i need for my budget.
Also i currently have a amd 2500 at 9800pro 1gb of ram and it has lasted me these 2 years and hope the build you spec me can last around the same time with vista and future games etc...

I'd really suggest upping your budget a tad, this system will be faster and offers more options in the future. If the budget really is that important you can get the 400w Blue Storm for around £15 less which will still be slightly over budget but not much.

True, but there isn't much left in 939, and when you can get a good conroe rig for just over £500 inc it's definatly the wiser choice. Also, upgrading in the future will be a LOT easier (keep ram and GPU at least, mobo if staying intel etc.)
