Hi all
Basically got a new build
Everything except the GPU which is a 1080 ti strix

I am using a Corsair rm1000x PSU and have two pcie 8 pin cables plugged into the PSU and then the strimer plus into that cable into the GPU.

strimer plus is working fine, the GPU is detected and powering 3 monitors no problem but only two fans are spinning slowly, stop and start again. The other fan doesn’t move at all

how can I test that all fans work, what’s the best software?
I don’t believe I have any software running or limiting these fans, it’s a new build of windows 11 with Nvidia graphics driver

I can’t say for sure if the same happened on my old build with this GPU other than I knew the fans wouldn’t spin until it got to a certain temp

Any suggestions. I could bypass the strimer plus and see from that but just wondering if there is something I can do software wise to test the fans and check what the GPU temp is.

cheers

A stress test like Furmark will test if the fans work. Hopefully all 3 fans will ramp up when it gets hot. Keep an eye on the GPU temperature and STOP Furmark if it reaches 80c without the fans turning.

You could use Afterburner to just test if the fans work. But a stress test will make sure the temperature sensors are working and communicating with the fans.

Thanks will check it out.
I should note Im Using the the lian li evo, which is inverted and GPU is now upside down, so fans pointing up. But I don’t think that should be an issue
