New build has 90 degree temps?!

Hi,

Just built a new computer and I've had several crashes with IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL errors.

Downloaded open hardware monitor to see if it's temperature related and #3 and #6 are showing 92/94 degrees! Is this an error or have I done something wrong?

Ryzen 3950XT
Corsair H100i
Old gigabyte 670 GTX graphics until another arrives
64gb ram

The inside of the case feels nice and cool but I know that doesn't mean much. Case fans all working.

Did you remove any plastic or sticky on the cpu cooler before installing onto the CPU

There was some plastic on top which I removed. Couldn't see any anywhere else.

Try remounting the pump part, might not be tight/even enough

Will I need to reapply some paste if I do? As I don't have any - it had some pre-installed.

As you can see, the CPU temps at the bottom are quite low?

I don't know what the high temps at the top refer to. GFX? Mobo? HD?

CPU is fine, don't bother remounting

Those random temps are probably motherboard sensors - would need to check the manual to see where they are or see if the software tells you.

90 degrees is toasty for any mobo component

EDIT;

Download , and use, HWiNFO64

It will show in more detail the temperature sensors

What is the model of the motherboard ?

Wish I'd never got it. The LAN drivers refuse to install too - googled it and apparently it's a common issue.

I would ignore those 2 temps.

Quick read around seems to come to the conclusion that are 'not real' sensors and can be ignored.

Few with the same issue here, diffrent mobo but ive looked at screenshots of the B550 and it shows the same high temps for Temp2 and 5;

Thanks very much for your help - puts my mind at ease.

Now to somehow get the LAN working!
