New build! Have I missed anything out?

Yup. A CPU cooler. The OEM version of the processor doesn't bring one. The Retail version does, but as you've gone for the "K" version you'll need a better aftermarket cooler to overclock, if that's your intention.

EDIT: Nevermind, just saw your edit.

Apart from a DVD Drive and an OS everything looks good to me matey.

No space for a DVD drive in this case, going to have to install via USB

Aye, I've got a decent cooler on my current 1155 build that i'll be using and the retail cooler will be going back on my old one

p.s. whats the main use for the pc? is there a reason you've gone for 16gb ram?

If it was Me I would swap the PSU and SSD, and maybe get a powerline adaptor. I had nothing but trouble when I had a wireless network card.

You could get an external DVD drive which might make it easier than using usb. Also what cooler do you have ? as that Kingston Ram is very tall.

I'll probably be using this on my existing wired connection and throwing the Wi-Fi card into my old build, so I'm not too worried about speeds. I've heard good things about Seasonic PSUs, but the Kingston SSD seems to be a faster model than the Samsung. Any other reason for the swap?

I've already got Win8 on USB from before so it's not a problem.
I've got a Cooler Master Hyper 101 cooler in my current build. It doesn't extend out too far, so it should clear the RAM ok. If not, I've got an Intel retail cooler here that will suffice until I can get a new cooler delivered

Ooh, I like the red and black build I should probably be paying more attention to colours when there's a window at the side.
I was looking at the Team Group RAM when I was putting it together but opted for the Kingston stuff because I was familiar with the name. Is the Team Group stuff any good?

It'll mainly be for gaming and media, but I've started getting into development a bit more lately and the extra RAM would come in handy when i'm running VMs. I could probably make do with 8, but a little more doesn't hurt
