That's the spec. The actual build went well with no problems. I seem to be having a problem with Windows Vista though. I insert the CD, choose to boot from CD rom and then a black screen tells me 'Windows is loading files' and then the 'Microsoft Corporation' screen comes up with a scrolling logo bar. After that there is a light blue background where I can see my mouse cursor (the beginning of the actual Vista installation phase I assume). There is an hour glass next to the cursor for a few seconds then it disappears and nothing happens. There is no crash, because I can still use the mouse but the comp doesn't sound like it's doing anything or loading.

Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong? I'm thinking something to do with the hard drive? It's Sata and maybe I haven't configured it right? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

think you might have to update the BIOS in order for the motherboard to work with that chip

but you could also try just installing with 2gig of RAM installed
