New Build Help, No Post

Hi, i need some help trying to solve this no post problem, i just finished my new build using second hand parts. i powered on the computer the first time and there was no post. i checked the mobo (asus p7p55d-pro) and it has a red light on the pcie lane, using a 4870, i read online to reset cmos and try again, so i did that and the red light has gone, but still no post.

now when i turn the computer on there is supposed to be a light sequence, cpu red led flash, memory red led flash and then pcie red flash, but it only does a single flash for the cpu led, that should mean the cpu is fine as the led would stay on if there was a problem, but im not sure where to go from here?

Reset the cmos and Try using one stick of memory.

ive tried each stick of ram alone, both is slots a1 and b1 and reset cmos each time, just waiting for my fiances brother to finish his game then im gonna try his ram.

ive tried 4 different sticks of ram now, im thinking its the mobo, are there any other tests i can do to verify this?

Build it outside the case, to make sure there is nothing shorting out the board

You can also try to swap parts the other way around. Try your memory, gfx card etc in your brother's PC to make sure they are not the cause.
