Hi all,

Just checking to make sure this is all ok and if there is there anything any of you would change?

I would like to cut the price a little if possible, but I don't really want to lose any performance.

I know I could get a cheaper case, but I really want this one so changing isn't an option unless you can come up with an amazing recommendation :)

Thank you.

I like it, you could save a few quid with the OCZ 650W PSU though.

However a lot of people here seem to not like it, despite it's positive reviews...

Looks a good build. Personally I'd go for the Antec TP New 650W. It's the same price, but a better PSU IMO:

Plus it's (partially) modular.

As far as saving a few quid, you could get away with the Antec TP-New 550W which would still easily power your system. The 650W just gives more headroom, allows a little more efficiency and may last you longer should you need to upgrade in the future. There's not a lot I would change at all - as you mentioned you could save a little by changing the case but if you particularly like that case then why not just go for it?

i guess you know about the MSI VAT back scheme thats going on already (although, if you didnt ive just saved you £20)

PSU's i'd go for one of these depending on what your planning on doing with the build:
crossfire capable, modular: antec truepower 650W modular
crossfire capable, not modular: OCZ ZS 650W
not crossfire capable, not modular: lepa W series 500W

i would get the retail processor because it has a longer warranty and has the standard cooler as a backup (which helps when your trying to resell as well)

i'll also second the 'go for the gelid tranquillo + corsair RAM' opinion

Thank you all for the replies, I have decided to go for the Antec PSU.

About the Ram and CPU Cooler - Are you saying the Ram I have chosen will not fit with the CPU Cooler I have chosen? I have read really good reviews on both and was quite happy with them and their prices :)

I did know about the deal thanks, Reaper ;)

I was wondering one thing about the Motherboard though - Do I actually benefit from PCI-E Gen 3 or is just the that it makes the board "future-proof"? I have seen a nice P67 board, which even without the Cash Back Offer works out a lot cheaper and the only difference I can see is no PCI-E Gen 3. Can anyone tell me if there are any other benefits to the Z68 board, would I see any performance improvement with my current build?

Thank you.

would still suggest the gelid tranquilo over the one you've chosen, the atranquilo will allow you to push the oc further than the freezer pr 7 rev 2 and give better cooling.

the fins on the ram may interfer with the fan on the cooler, low profile(i.e. those without fins) don't have that issue.

z68 has added features over p67, even if you don't use most of those the onboard vga will mean that if your graphics card breaks down you can continue using the pc for general usage and even some undemandingg games.
