Hi guys, well i've posted in here a little bit asking for advice on parts etc. I have the case, the ram,the psu, the hard drive and the CPU. All I need is the Mobo, and Windows 7 and I have a graphics card to use until i can afford a 7850. I was just wondering what order to install things in once I have all the parts? Cheers for the help :)

Depends on the Case really... Normal it's:

Motherboard > Case
CPU > Motherboard
RAM > Motherboard
Cooler > CPU (swap with above if cooler doesn't cover RAM)
PSU
Hard Drives
Disk Drive

Though i prefer to assemble the Motherboard and CPU first then put it in the case, not sure why.. :)

I find it easier to assemble Motherboard, RAM, CPU, and cooler outside of the case first then drop the whole lot in. You will have much more room to work in which can be a real help if you have a difficult to install cooler or one with fiddly fan clips.

i build and test and install widows outside of the case on a test rig i setup years ago.

easy to add and alter anything this way, takes a few mins max to fit into case afterwards, after a good burn in etc outside of the case
