New Build Help Please

I see a few problems straight away.

First of all you need the mATX case variant.

Secondly the PSU won't fit, the Max length you can fit in the mATX version (of that case) is 160mm. That PSU is around 200mm.

I'd consider going for a ATX case, or a 350D (tower style mATX).

I'd also change a lot of other things, like the GPU and monitor..

Whats your budget? what do you need? and do you want anythin specific so looking at your spec are you going with a green theme? (i like green) you want a MTAX case or are you not fussed?

Just thinking that amd card in the little enclosure might kick up a furnace. But hey i could be wrong.

budget is about £2k but want to get a nice 4k system and stay with a small case design (Matx)

i think you would be better going with an ATX case and probs dropping to 1440p. But im with Doomspeed, you need to seriously consider the air flow of your case especially with the Matx's as you have less space to work with.

Check out the PowerColor 290X PCS+ offer on this week. You get AMD 8GB 2400Mhz ram kit free + AMD Gold Reward. Great deal for £360. The 290 PCS+ also includes those free items. Match that with the Gigabyte/Intel cashback and you be saving more :)

Right Rishy,

done a spec for you. Firstly there is some stuff im ordering, just finalizing some gear. This spec is for a 4kish system but its based on the G-Sync, this allows for your nvidia cards to run better and more effectively for frame rates. However i cannot really judge what cards will give you the best performance, for 2 cards probs the 780ti's would be a safe bet for the 4k screen. I linked the cheapest normal 780 and 780ti. dual ti's will bring you over budget, but that is the price for a decent set up which brings new technology.

really the WD black isn't worth the money from my point of view the baracuda is more than adequate at half the price. ssd is on the cheap side, however its got good performance and its cheap enough that is you want to run raid its easily procured.

the paste, case, leds, fans, sleeves and grommits are my stuff, but if you like them. I know there isn't a cooler, thats because i can't remember what one is better. I know one of the corsair 240mm rad's are having some software problems with windows 8, which i read in this forum.

But hey, hope you like the spec.

A single gpu isn't enough to run 4K at decent frame rates.

I agree with you.

There isn't many AAA games that'll you'll get over 60FPS from a single card (290X/780ti) at 4K. Some, like BF4, you'll probsbly only see 30/40FPS.

Take a look at this test:

http://www.eteknix.com/4k-gaming-showdown-amd-r9-290x-crossfire-vs-nvidia-gtx-780-ti-sli/

Very helpful reading.

I'd say you either go for an SLI setup now, to combat 4k or you leave 4k for a few years and go for 144hz.

Just the cooler :-)
It looks nice and that's pretty much it.
You will get much better performance from Prolimatech Megahalems with 2 sub 1k rpm fans.
And it will be same price or a bit cheaper.
