New build help!

Hi,

Just finished putting together my new build, and when turning on everything spins for a second then it powers off, then powers itself back on again, and carries on doing this until it's turned off at the mains.

I've checked the front panel connectors, anything else it could be?

Well the CPU power wasn't connected, so now that's in it powers up and stays on, but I get no display

Specs are i5 760, msi h55 mobo, 4gb corsair xms, gigabyte 450oc, 1tb samsung spinpoint.

The screen is plugged into the graphics card not the inboard vides, but I tried both to no avail.

Also when first turned on it beeps 3 long beeps, could be a clue?

500w coolermaster, ran a spec me a week ago and was advised it would be enough, none of the components have a rating higher I don't think.

What slots are the memory in, you usually need then in 2nd and 4th slots.

Also try CMOS reset.

Thanks,it was the RAM in the wrong slots, I'd completely overlooked it!
