This morning, a nice gentlemen parked his van on my driveway, he carried two large boxes full of my new computer. Upon the excitement of opening the box's I chuffed down the free haribo (thanks OCUK) and began assembling my first ever computer build.

After many youtube video's and does this go there, I hope it doesn't blow up later I pushed the power button to a satisfying beep of what appeared to be my first systems boot.

Now I have the task of playing around with all the setting's, and as you guy's were so helpful helping me choose my build, I would like to ask a few last's things!

----

I have installed windows on my SSD, but before installing everything else I do not want to use all my SSD's storage, however when I navigate to my computer, my HDD is not there, it is recognized on device manager.

Goto computer management/Disk management and assign the HDD.

You should see a dark grey bar which is the the HDD's space, right click this grey area which just needs assigning then you should be ready to go

Go to Newegg Pc Build part 3 on youtube and they show step by step how to get it working in device manager and how to create partitions.

I hope this is not a silly question but does this matter, will my nvidia card always be used, do I need to set one as default?

I don't want to load up a game and it use my integrated graphics rather than my 780.

Run 3D mark, see what score you get.

Also download CPU-Z and post a pic of the memory tab, this will confirm if you are in the correct dual channel mode and what speed your RAM is running at.
